EVENING STANDARD FEATURE

"Peter and Charlie Bowles are building a stable of timeless British brands that represent the very best of the country's design."
THE BRITISH DESIGN AWARDS 2013
We are thrilled to announce that we have won Elle Decoration's 'Made in the UK' award from their prestigious British Design Awards 2013.
" Peter Bowles and his son Charlie, Original BTC started out as an Oxford-based lighting manufacturer and has evolved to become The Original BTC Group, with six brands under its umbrella. As well as Original BTC itself, there are Bowles & Bowles, notable for its steel-wire furniture; Davey Lighting, whose designs are influenced by its history of making nautical lamps; Beadlight, whose LED task lights use technology originally devised for the aerospace industry; Branksome China, established in the 1940s as a maker of pastel-toned tableware; and English Antique Glass, a stained-glass specialist which is now turning its hand to homeware. The last two brands were saved from the brink of demise by the Bowleses, who restructured their production operations and revitalised their collections. John Lewis felt that The Original BTC Group is a strong supporter of British enterprise and a fitting winner of this inaugural award. We couldn’t agree more. "
